MAZZOCCHIOO TALKS #10
Building upon the format initiated last year with two architects from the same country, we are pleased to announce an upcoming architectural conference this autumn in Bucharest, featuring Chilean architects Smilijan Radic and Cecilia Puga.
Smilijan Radic is known for his innovative and experimental designs, often integrating elements of the surreal with a strong sense of place. He has lectured extensively and has mounted several architecture exhibitions on his work, including 'Global Ends', at the Ma Gallery in Tokio in 2010, 'People Meet in Architecture', with sculptor Marcela Correa at the 12th Internation Architecture Exhibition in Venice (2010), and 'An Orange Noise' at the Hiroshima Museum of Contemporary Art (2012). He was selected to design the 2014 Serpentine Gallery Pavilion in London.
Cecilia Puga is a Chilean architect, educator and the director of the Chilean Museum of Pre-Columbian Art. She is recognized as a noteworthy architectural designer of the latest generations in Chile. Puga has won the international architecture competition for projects such as the recovery of Pereira Palace, the new Library of the Faculty of Architecture, Design and Urban Studies of the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile and the City Hall of Vitacura, Chile
This event will provide an opportunity to hear from these two architects about their approaches and recent projects.
